In Memory
Donald Frank Bogdanski
By Paul Spadin
Donald joined our group in 1986 when we were at our minimum membership. Ten members kept the club going after the 20-20 TV show decimated the ultralight community. Don had a
Hi-Nuski Husky weight shift he kept at Hartford Co Airport where a lot of members trained back then. He had the original idea to advertise for a flying field and that's how we arrived at the Reese farm almost
20 years ago. Don flew the Husky for years and any trips we took we always gave Don a 1/2 hour head start since his cruise was somewhere close to the Kasperwings. He finally retired the Nuski and shared
a Quicksilver with two other fliers. Don was also very active at the farm during the building of the big Hangar, mowing the fields and repairing the equipment. He was also quite active at the
Woodsboro Auction over the years. As most of you know Don was Diabetic since the age of 15 and after controlling it for 30 years finally lost both kidneys. His last flight was about a month before he
died. We miss him.
